Himalayan Dreaming DVD
In the tradition of films such as Koyaanisqaatsi and Barak, Himalayan Dreaming is a collection of images set to music and it is a stunningly beautiful portrait of the region in the Himalayas where the Himalayan Flower Enhancers are produced. It shows villagers going about their everyday life and, of course, mountain scenes and flowers.
It is structured as a meditative journey through the chakras. The music and images change, helping to shift and clear energy within oneself and move towards a state of peace. It is not instructional in any way, but invites the listener to attune to the chakras as the music takes you on its journey.
It is divided into 8 segments, starting with an introduction and then a segment for each of the 7 chakras. Each segment has music specifically designed to resonate with that particular chakra, as well as images loosely chosen to activate the chakra. At times the music includes natural sounds of running water and villagers threshing grain in the ancient tradition, at other times it invites you on a quiet inner journey. The DVD is entirely instrumental.
The soundtrack was especially composed to resonate with the chakras, by musicians on the Far South Coast of NSW, Australia.
